Two semitrucks collided Monday morning at the intersection of Highways 165 and 140 in Merced County, blocking the roadway and requiring heavy-duty tow trucks to clear the scene, the California Highway Patrol said.
No one was seriously injured in the collision, according to CHP Merced.
The crash comes a week after CHP Merced conducted a commercial vehicle enforcement operation in response to concerns about unsafe driving behaviors.
CHP officials said the collision highlights the importance of commercial vehicle safety and the need for continued enforcement efforts.
Authorities emphasized that commercial vehicle safety enforcement extends beyond individual operations.
