A 36-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning on several felony and misdemeanor charges, including assault with intent, residential burglary, and sexual battery, according to Fresno police and Fresno County Jail records.

James Yang was arrested by police at 6:40 a.m. in the area of Belmont and San Pablo avenues, records show.

Yang was arrested on felony charges of assault with intent to commit rape or another specified sex offense, first-degree residential burglary, and causing injury to an elder or dependent adult, according to the Fresno Police Department arrest report.

He also faces misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and trespassing by occupying property without consent.

Fresno County Jail records list bail at $115,000.

Police confirmed Yang’s arrest and the charges but provided no additional information about the circumstances surrounding the case.
