Five people, including three juveniles, were arrested after a gang-related shooting at a Coalinga residence led investigators to seize several firearms and ammunition, police said.

Officers responded about 11:52 p.m. Friday to reports of shots fired near Tyler and California streets, according to the Coalinga Police Department. Officers found several spent shell casings in the roadway on Tyler Street but did not locate any suspects.

Detectives continued investigating Saturday and used city cameras to develop new leads, police said.

Investigators determined that a member and associates of the Bulldogs criminal street gang drove to the home of a rival gang member and fired multiple shots toward the residence, according to police. No one inside the home or in the surrounding area was injured.

Detectives obtained search warrants Sunday for four locations in Coalinga. Five suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting.

Police identified the two adult suspects as Nick Camacho and Muwafaq Muwafaq, both of Coalinga. Three additional suspects were juveniles whose names were not released because of their ages.

During the searches, investigators recovered a 9 mm Beretta handgun, two rifles, multiple rounds of ammunition, and gang-related items, police said.

Camacho was booked on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or occupied vehicle.

Muwafaq was booked on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or occupied vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm while not being its registered owner, and carrying a loaded firearm.

The three juveniles were booked on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or occupied vehicle.

The adults were transported to the Fresno County Jail, while the juveniles were taken to the Fresno Juvenile Justice Center.
