A 46-year-old Lindsay man was arrested Thursday after a 13-year-old girl reported being sexually assaulted outside the city, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

The girl reported the assault Sunday in the outskirts of Lindsay, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives identified Irineo Guzman, 46, as the suspect during their investigation.

He was taken into custody Thursday and booked into the Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under 14.
