Caltrans will close a connector ramp and a lane on Highway 180 overnight Wednesday into Thursday for guardrail repair work in Fresno.

The work is scheduled from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.

During the closure, the northbound Highway 99 connector ramp to eastbound Highway 180 will be closed for guardrail repairs.

In addition, the No. 3 lane on eastbound Highway 180 between the Highway 99 interchange and Fulton Street will be closed. The eastbound Highway 180 off-ramp at Fulton Street also will be closed during the work.

Caltrans said the closures could continue longer each day if weather or other uncontrollable events delay maintenance operations.

The agency is urging motorists to use extra caution, allow additional travel time and watch for road maintenance personnel and signs directing drivers to slow for the cone zone.
