The California Highway Patrol arrested a driver suspected of driving under the influence after concerned motorists reported a reckless driver Thursday afternoon.
At about 3:05 p.m., CHP Fort Tejon-Grapevine officers, along with allied agencies, responded to the report and located the vehicle, according to the CHP.
Officers determined the driver was under the influence and made an arrest.
CHP said minor children were also found inside the vehicle and had not eaten since 6 a.m.
Community members provided meals for the children while officers kept them safe until family members arrived.
“Your loved ones are counting on you to get them home safely,” CHP said in a statement, reminding drivers to make safe choices and not drive impaired.
