A Jamestown man was sentenced Monday to 20 years in federal prison for receiving and distributing child sexual abuse material, the maximum sentence allowed under the statute, federal prosecutors said.
Stephen Tyler Prock, 58, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston to 20 years in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Thurston also ordered Prock to pay $23,000 in restitution to four victims whose images he possessed.
According to court documents, Prock received about 100 videos containing child sexual abuse material between May 2018 and March 2020. Prosecutors said he used a peer-to-peer file-sharing program to distribute the material to others around the world.
Federal agents executed a search warrant at Prock’s home on March 4, 2020, while he was downloading additional child sexual abuse material onto his computer, according to court documents. Agents seized the computer during the search.
Following a three-day trial, a federal jury found Prock guilty on April 23, 2026, of receipt and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
