A wildfire burning near Keene in Kern County had grown to 150 acres with no containment Monday afternoon, prompting evacuation warnings for nearby residents.
The Fish Fire was reported north of Caliente Bodfish Road and east of Bena Road, according to CalFire.
Officials said the fire was active as of 12:48 p.m. Monday and remained 0% contained. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Kern County Fire Department issued evacuation warnings for zones KRN-100 and KRN-455, advising residents to prepare to leave because of the wildfire threat.
