A 38-year-old Visalia man was sentenced Monday to 55 years, 8 months to life in prison after being convicted of multiple crimes involving the sexual abuse of a child, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said.

Efren Reyes-Navarro was sentenced in Department 10 of the Tulare County Superior Court’s Visalia Division.

Prosecutors secured a guilty verdict against Reyes-Navarro on May 6, 2026, on 18 felony counts of child molestation, one felony count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and one felony count of distributing pornography to a minor. Many of the charges included an enhancement alleging the sexual conduct was substantial.

According to the district attorney’s office, the crimes were committed between May 2017 and July 2022 in Visalia and Los Angeles against a female minor.

In addition to his prison sentence, Reyes-Navarro must register as a sex offender for life.
