Fresno police arrested a 25-year-old man Wednesday after officers say he pulled a knife on another man and demanded money near Tuolumne and L streets, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at about 2:37 p.m. to reports of a man brandishing a knife during a confrontation. Police said the victim identified the suspect as Jonathan Kevin Jackson.

Officers located Jackson at Tuolumne and L streets and detained him. During the arrest, officers observed him in possession of an approximately 8-inch kitchen knife, police said.

Jackson was arrested and transported to Community Regional Medical Center for unrelated medical issues. Police said he also had an outstanding warrant for criminal threats.

He was later booked into the Fresno County Jail.
