Highway 180 is closed between San Mateo and San Benito avenues due to a vegetation fire Thursday, Caltrans said.

Officials said delays are expected in the area and urged drivers to use alternate routes while crews respond to the fire.

No additional details on the size of the fire or estimated reopening time were immediately available.
