A man was critically injured after a fight Monday night at a Visalia Walmart, and the incident is under investigation by the Visalia Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit. (Visalia PD)

A man was critically injured Monday night following a fight at a Visalia Walmart, according to police.

Officers responded at about 10:08 p.m. to a report of a fight in progress at the Neighborhood Walmart near Demaree Street and Houston Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an unconscious man suffering from a serious head injury.

The man was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Health, where he remained in critical condition.

The Visalia Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
