Iranian state media reports the United States would release $12 billion of frozen Iranian assets under a proposed memorandum of understanding, according to the Middle East Eye.
The document reportedly outlines unfreezing $24 billion during a 60-day negotiation period beginning after the deal takes effect, with half, or $12 billion, available before talks start.
The text has not been confirmed by Washington or Tehran, and officials say sanctions relief depends on Iranian compliance with future terms.
