A 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a stabbing at the Merced County Fairgrounds on Sunday night, and three suspects have been arrested, authorities said.
Deputies working at the fairgrounds responded to the carnival area after reports of a physical altercation. When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified three suspects in the case: Nathaniel Yanez, 26, and two juveniles. All three were taken into custody.
Authorities said the stabbing is believed to be an isolated incident, but the investigation remains ongoing.
