Two people were arrested in connection with the theft of approximately $12,000 worth of jewelry from a Madera jewelry store, police said.

According to the Madera Police Department, an officer responded Friday to Del Sol Jewelers in the 100 block of East Yosemite Avenue after a report of jewelry theft.

Investigators determined that several individuals worked together to steal jewelry from a display case while a store employee was distracted. The stolen items were valued at about $12,000.
