California Highway Patrol officers in Modesto stopped a driver traveling 84 mph in a 65 mph zone and discovered the driver had never been licensed, authorities said Sunday.

The traffic stop led to the vehicle being impounded, according to a CHP-Modesto social media post.

Officials did not release the driver’s identity or provide additional details about the stop.

The CHP reminded motorists that speeding and unlicensed driving endanger everyone on the road. Authorities urged drivers to obey speed limits, drive responsibly and ensure they are properly licensed before operating a vehicle.
