A 53-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly threatening employees and damaging property inside a Visalia massage parlor, police said.

Officers responded shortly after 7 p.m. to a business in the 3200 block of South Fairway after receiving reports that a man was breaking items inside and threatening employees by claiming he was going to shoot them, according to the Visalia Police Department. Police said no firearm was seen.

When officers arrived, the man remained inside the business, where police said he continued damaging property and threatened to kill officers. Authorities said he also threw several items out of the building and attempted to smash windows from inside.

The suspect, identified by police as Brady Daniel, later exited the business. Officers deployed a non-lethal device before taking him into custody, police said.

Daniel was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, criminal threats, and resisting a peace officer. No officers were injured, according to police.
