Merced Police Seek Pickup Tied to Fatal Shooting

Police in Merced are investigating a fatal shooting and are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle connected to the case.

Officers with the Merced Police Department responded at about 9:30 p.m. April 14 to an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Devonwood Drive following a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 28-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Detectives are actively investigating the case and are seeking information about a 2014 Ford F-150 identified as a vehicle of interest.
