The National Weather Service in Hanford confirmed Thursday afternoon that a fourth tornado touched down during the Tuesday storm system, this time in Tulare County.

The EF-0 tornado struck Terra Bella between 6:33 p.m. and 6:34 p.m., with estimated peak winds of 80 mph, a path length of 0.27 miles and a maximum width of 20 yards, according to a storm survey released Thursday.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Officials said the brief tornado formed in Terra Bella and was later confirmed by meteorologists following a damage assessment.

The newly confirmed tornado brings the total from the Tuesday event to four, tying the record for the most tornadoes in a single day across the National Weather Service Hanford’s area of responsibility.
