A Delano man wanted in connection with a string of robberies across Tulare County is behind bars after deputies arrested him Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies served a warrant around 4:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Jefferson Street in Delano as part of an ongoing investigation into robberies that occurred earlier this year, the agency said.

Detectives conducted a traffic stop during the operation and detained Jose Aburto, who had been identified as a suspect in multiple incidents.

He was booked on charges related to the cases.
