A vehicle crashed into Uncle Harry’s Bagel Shop near Shaw and Cedar avenues late Friday morning, injuring five people, the Fresno Fire Department said in a statement.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. as the popular eatery was bustling with more than 25 patrons. Despite the chaotic scene, officials reported no serious injuries or fatalities.

The crash caused significant structural damage, prompting utility crews to shut off power and gas to the building.

Uncle Harry’s and the neighboring Jamba Juice are expected to remain closed for several days for repairs, according to the bagel shop’s owner.

The fire department’s urban search and rescue team responded to the scene to remove the vehicle from the shop and assess the building’s stability.

Crews reinforced the damaged wall to ensure the structure’s safety during ongoing work, fire officials said.
