California Gov. Gavin Newsom has expanded his real estate portfolio by purchasing a $9.1 million mansion in Marin County, as reported by Moneywise.com.

The six-bedroom property, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, a swimming pool, and a spa, is located near San Francisco. The purchase was made through MHBD Farms, LLC, an entity established just days before the transaction.

Newsom continues to own his $3.7 million Sacramento County home, acquired in 2018 through a company linked to his cousin, Jeremy Scherer. His office declined to confirm the Marin purchase but told The San Francisco Chronicle, “The family continues to split their time between Sacramento and Marin counties.”

Marin County’s housing market is among the priciest in California, with average home values at $1,449,891. Statewide, the average home price is $771,057, more than double the U.S. average of $359,099.
