Interestingly, according to Gideon Levy of The Haaretz news outlet, the bulk of this criticism comes from the liberal left, who usually focus on human rights and humanitarian concerns.
However, the selective nature of this outrage raises questions about whether the suffering of Palestinians is the real concern. For example, Israel’s actions against Iranian and Hezbollah forces in Syria do not receive the same scrutiny as its conflicts with Palestinian territories.
