Tesla has filed plans for a drive-in theater that doubles as a charging station for electric vehicles on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood.

As envisioned by Elon Musk, the 24-hour operation would have 29 supercharger stalls, a two-story diner, and a bar.

A couple of years ago, when Musk first brought up the idea on Twitter, he talked about having carhops on roller skates.

There is a Shakey’s Pizza Parlor on the site where Tesla intends to build.
