Fresno events honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are back with in-person celebrations.

Community leaders gathered at Courthouse Park on Friday for the garlanding ceremony at the giant bust of the civil rights icon. It is the first of several events scheduled for the weekend. The 2021 in-person ceremonies were canceled because of the pandemic.
