The California Department of Transportation will conduct guardrail repairs this week, prompting overnight closures on key Fresno roadways.

Caltrans said the work is scheduled from 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to 1 a.m. Thursday.

During that time, the southbound Highway 41 connector ramp to both eastbound and westbound Highway 180 will be closed for repairs. The southbound Highway 41 onramp at McKinley Avenue will also be closed.

Officials said closures could extend for longer periods each day if needed due to weather delays or other unforeseen issues. All work is weather permitting.

Caltrans urged drivers to use caution in the area, allow extra travel time and watch for road maintenance crews. Motorists are also advised to “slow for the cone zone.
