Following the conclusion of the Mueller Report, here is reaction from four Valley congressmen:
Rep. TJ Cox (D-Fresno)
“Our country is stronger when we are united behind common values — fighting for middle-class families, higher wages, and affordable healthcare for all. That’s where my focus has been ever since I first announced that I was running for Congress. Two weeks ago, Republicans and Democrats unanimously voted to release the report. I urge the Justice Department to make this report available to the public who paid for it.”
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Tulare)
“The Russia investigation was based on false pretenses, false intel, and false media reports. House Intel found a yr ago there was no evidence of collusion, and Democrats who falsely claim to have such evidence have needlessly provoked a terrible, more than two-year-long crisis.”

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield)
“Our country welcomes this long-overdue conclusion. After two years, two congressional investigations, and now the closure of a Special Counsel investigation with unfettered authority to investigate ‘any links or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the Campaign of President Donald Trump,’ it is abundantly clear, without a shadow of a doubt, there was no collusion. Furthermore, the nearly unlimited scope, resources, and subpoena power of the Special Counsel has allowed his team to fully pursue any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation. This case is closed.”
Rep. Jim Costa (D-Fresno)
Rep. Jim Costa issued this statement via Twitter on Friday after news broke that the report was delivered to Attorney General William P. Barr. Costa called for “full transparency” on the report’s findings.
The American people need to know under full transparency what the Russians did to interfere in our elections process. https://t.co/N0xf18GeRR
