Four hundred students and their teachers will learn how to improve their skills at the third annual Fresno City College Journalism Conference on Friday.
All of the presenters are local professional journalists, media experts, or instructors. They will cover all aspects of print, broadcasting and web news gathering during 40 workshops in the college’s Old Administration Building.

Among the many topics covered: fake news, creating news stories for radio and television, the First Amendment, recognizing stereotyping and bias, social media news-telling, and investigative reporting.
The conference additionally includes tours of the campus and information about Fresno City College’s journalism program. The event is open to students from Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties and is free for all participants.
