Fresno Detectives Looking for Tips in Northwest Shooting Death

Fresno detectives are investigating the shooting death of Trey Hamilton, 33, who died at about 6 p.m. Saturday in northwest Fresno.

Police officers found Hamilton suffering from a gunshot wound after responding to a help request at a residence near North Warren and West Ashlan avenues.

Despite life-saving efforts by officers and EMS personnel, Hamilton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that an unknown disturbance occurred at the location, which led to Hamilton being shot and killed.

Homicide detectives are searching the area for additional surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to further the investigation.
