Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and CBS Sports broadcaster Tony Romo is leaving the network following his arrest earlier this summer for driving while intoxicated, ABC News reported.
CBS Sports said Friday that it and Romo had mutually agreed to part ways after nine years. NFL star JJ Watt, who replaced Romo in July, will remain alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson on the network’s lead NFL broadcast team.
Romo was arrested in Milwaukee in July and later found guilty of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His driving privileges were revoked for six months, and he was ordered to complete an alcohol assessment program.
