Lucasfilm congratulated the team behind “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on Wednesday after the superhero film surpassed “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” as the highest-grossing domestic movie of all time.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has overtaken the $936 million domestic haul of 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” according to Variety, ending the “Star Wars” film’s more than decade-long reign atop the North American box office chart. The figures are not adjusted for inflation.

Lucasfilm and the official “Star Wars” account marked the milestone Wednesday with a message congratulating director Destin Daniel Cretton, star Tom Holland, Sony Pictures, Marvel Studios, and the film’s team.

“Impressive. Most Impressive,” Lucasfilm wrote. “From a galaxy far, far away, everyone at Lucasfilm sends massive congratulations to Destin, Tom, everyone at Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios and the entire team behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day on setting a new domestic box office record and taking the crown from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

The Sony and Marvel film has also grossed about $2.45 billion worldwide, according to Variety.
