Israel’s response to protests by Palestinians in Gaza has drawn rebuke from critics while others defend the country’s actions.
In an appearance on CNN, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, offered his analysis on the perceptions of Israel. “Israel lives in a crazy neighborhood, one of the craziest neighborhoods on the planet right now,” Friedman says.
