One day after detectives identified a suspect in the November shooting death of a 51-year-old man and asked for the public’s help in finding him, the suspect turned himself in, Fresno police said.
Philip Bautista, 18, was booked into Fresno County Jail last Wednesday. He remains there facing a murder charge, jail records show.
Officers found Luis Valencia shot in the 2700 block of East Clinton Avenue across from the VA Hospital shortly after 10 p.m. on Nov. 27.
He later died at Community Regional Medical Center.
