Northbound Highway 99 in Tulare County was reduced to one lane Wednesday at Avenue 152 near Tipton after a load of asphalt spilled into the roadway, according to Caltrans.

Traffic was backed up to Poplar Avenue, and motorists were advised to expect delays through the area.

Caltrans said there was no estimated time for the roadway to fully reopen.
