A 19-year-old Visalia man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a string of armed robberies and residential burglaries that began late last month, according to the Visalia Police Department.
Detectives with the department’s Violent Crimes Unit identified Andres Trejo as the suspect after investigating several robberies and burglaries between Oct. 25 and Nov. 3. Police said Trejo was also connected to a report of a person brandishing a firearm that matched the suspect’s description.
Trejo was arrested with assistance from the Special Enforcement Bureau and the HOPE Team, police said. A search warrant at his home led to the discovery of evidence linking him to the crimes, police said.
He was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility on multiple charges, including robbery, burglary, brandishing a weapon, possession of stolen property, and firearm offenses.
Police said the crimes occurred at several businesses and homes throughout Visalia, including multiple robberies along West Whitendale Avenue and burglaries on West La Vida, West Main Street, and South Central Street.
