As part of the Pave More Now initiative, the city of Fresno will close the intersection of Shaw and Brawley avenues for repaving starting Sunday night.

Work will begin at 8 p.m. and continue overnight to minimize disruption to daytime traffic.

The closure is part of broader paving along Shaw Avenue between Blythe and Valentine avenues, which is expected to continue through Friday, Oct. 24, weather permitting.

Businesses along the route will remain open, but drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes and anticipate delays during construction hours.
