How Does the Target Midnight Release Event for ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Work?

Target employees will hand out reservation tickets for “The Life of a Showgirl” merchandise in the electronics section of participating stores starting at 10 p.m. Shoppers who get a ticket will be able to browse the store until it’s time to line up at 11:45 p.m. to make their midnight purchase, according to Target’s website.

Target will stock the standard editions of “The Life of a Showgirl” CD and vinyl variations.

But it’s also offering four exclusive versions of the album, including “The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd Is Your King” summertime spritz pink vinyl, “The Life of a Showgirl: It’s Frightening” CD with poster, “The Life of a Showgirl: It’s Rapturous” CD with poster, and “The Life of a Showgirl: It’s Beautiful” CD with poster.

“The Life of a Showgirl” will be released on major streaming platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music, at 9 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, Oct. 2.
