Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating the next of kin for an 88-year-old military veteran who recently passed away.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office said Gary Wood of Madera died on Aug. 20.

Despite their efforts, deputies have not been able to locate any of his family members.
