Fresno Police Arrest 17 in Domestic Violence Crackdown

A coordinated domestic violence enforcement operation led by the Fresno Police Department on April 16 resulted in the arrest of 17 individuals, authorities said.

The sweep, focused in Southwest Fresno, targeted suspects with outstanding warrants and individuals on probation or parole for domestic violence-related offenses, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.

Eight of those arrested were identified as gang members with ties to criminal street gangs operating in the area, police said. All 17 were booked into the Fresno County Jail on felony charges.

“Domestic violence is not only a crime against individuals — it is a threat to the safety and well-being of families and the broader community,” police said in the statement.
