A 13-year-old boy riding his bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Clovis, authorities said.
Agamjodh Singh Cheema, a student at Clark Intermediate School, was riding a mountain bike just before 5:30 p.m. on Bullard Avenue near Temperance Avenue when he was hit by a Toyota Camry traveling westbound, according to Clovis Police.
The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office identified Cheema on Wednesday.
Emergency crews from Clovis Police, Clovis Fire, and American Ambulance responded quickly and attempted life-saving measures. Cheema was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators closed Bullard Avenue between Armstrong and Temperance in both directions as members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit examined the scene.
Police said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating and that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
