Halloween is knocking on our door and there are many eventful treats for kids and adults this weekend. Haunted based festivities are going on at Chukchansi Park, The Standard, Fresno Chaffee Zoo, The Pines Resort in Bass Lake, and other venues.
Prepare yourself for a terrifying story time session from comedian Christopher Titus or go see the rock band Chicano Batman before they go on hiatus.
Saturday’s Fresno State football matchup against San Jose State has more in store for The Red Wave than just the game.

Fresno State vs San Jose State
The Bulldogs return home to Valley Children’s Stadium for Homecoming on Saturday. The Bulldogs debut their new black uniform combo, Bulldog legend Ron Cox will be inducted into the Ring of Honor at halftime, and there will be a postgame drone show.
The teams are meeting for the 87th time and vying for the Valley Trophy (San Joaquin vs. Silicon). The Bulldogs lead the series 44-39-3 and are 26-18-1 at home against the Spartans.

Christopher Titus
Master of macabre comedy Christopher Titus will either have the Tower Theatre laughing or crying on Saturday. He makes a living riffing on subjects like family, divorce and mental illness. He doesn’t just deliver punchlines, either; his format is storytelling that’ll either crack you up or question his sanity.
Titus has toured through Fresno consistently throughout the years and has established a comedy home in the Central Valley. He’s entertained his fans who dig his dark material with 10 comedy specials. They’ve been broadcast on Comedy Central and Showtime and have topped the Billboard comedy album chart.
He took his depressing life story and starred in the sit-com “Titus” for Fox. It received an Emmy and Writers Guild Award nomination. Enjoy the show if you can handle it.

Hot Girl Halloween
The heat will turn up at Hot Girl Halloween at Chukchansi Park on Friday with DJ Kay Rich. It’s been going on for several years and grows in popularity.
The roster is filled with eclectic rappers such as P-Lo, Kamaiyah, and 310BABII. Drinks, music, and dancing. Costumes are recommended.

Chicano Batman
Chicano Batman will rock Tioga Sequoia Brewery on Thursday. The Los Angeles rock band is on tour supporting its recent album “Notebook Fantasy.”
They’re an independent group known for songs like “Black Lipstick,” “Cycles of Existential Rhyme,” and “Friendship (Is A Small Boat In A Storm).” Their videos have accumulated millions of views on YouTube. This might be the last time to see them for a spell because they say they’re going on indefinite hiatus after this tour.

2024 Fresno Haunted Mansion Halloween Party
The Haunted Mansion Halloween Party returns to The Standard on Saturday. The venue has been hosting this holiday party for 17 years and in 2023 the event packed the house.
Costumes are expected. A variety of food and drinks will be served. It’ll take place inside and outside the night club. It’s an exclusive 21+ event and a ticket is mandatory.

ZooBoo, Thursday-Saturday
ZooBoo will take place at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo from Thursday to Saturday. Families can enjoy fall festivities with pumpkins, a pirate ship, various activities, and plenty of candy. A drone show will light up the savanna on Thursday and Friday night.

Stand-up comedian Daniel Eachus will perform Friday at DiCiccoās in Old Town Clovis. Born and raised in Fresno, Eachus was the youngest finalist ever in the āFunniest Comic in Los Angelesā contest. He made it to the finals on Comedy Centralās āUp Nextā and appeared on Fox & Huluās āLaughs.ā He’s recorded two stand-up albums and his debut DryBar comedy special āA Mild and Skinny Guyā has over a million total views.

The Chill Out: R&B + Soul Garden Party, Friday
Come chill at The Chill Out: R&B + Soul Garden Party at Toca Madera Winery on Friday. The evening includes an acoustic performance and DJs playing classics and today’s hits. There’ll be complimentary wine, cigars from The Morgan Collection, and food from Gonzalez Taqueria. It’s a 21+ event.

Boos & Booze Halloween Fest, Friday
A party is going down at the Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia on Friday with live EDM music, haunted attractions, drinks, food, and art installations. The roster of DJs will keep the party going all night.

Warnors Boo-Fest, Saturday
The first Boo-Fest takes place at Warnors Theatre on Saturday. On the menu are beer tasting from multiple breweries, a behind-the-scenes theatre tour, and two horror movies. Hole in the Wall Tattoo Studio will be there to put new ink on people. Food vendors will be on site. All proceeds go to the restoration of the theatre.

7th Annual Halloween Bar Crawl, Saturday
Get ready for a spooktacular night at The Official 7th Annual Halloween Bar Crawl on Saturday. The meeting place will be at The Rec Room. Included in the experience is a costume contest, custom keychain lanyards with bottle openers, exclusive drink and food specials, and a custom Halloween badge. Check out the after party.

Halloween Carnival, Saturday
The 8th Annual Halloween Carnival returns to The Pines Resort at Bass Lake on Saturday. Enjoy family fun activities like the bounce house, games, dunk tank, and face painting. 2024 Halloween Spooktacular, Saturday
The Clovis Veterans Memorial District hosts the Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday. Trick or treats, ghastly games, and creepy crafts will be provided. Local veterans and community service organizations will be in attendance. Canned food donations are welcomed and will benefit The Salvation Army. Admission is free.
