Officers administered CPR until EMS arrived and transported him to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died shortly after.
Preliminary findings from the Collision Reconstruction Unit indicate that Ly was traveling southbound on Fowler Avenue and failed to stop for a red light at Tulare Avenue.
The sedan, traveling eastbound on Tulare Avenue, was in the intersection when the motorcycle struck the driver’s side.
The sedan driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said.
