A Visalia man was arrested Thursday in connection with two armed robberies in Visalia and Farmersville, police said.
Visalia officers responded about 4:46 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, to Floreria Petalos De Oro, 1115 E. Houston Ave., after a reported armed robbery.
Police said a man wearing a hoodie, mask, and gloves entered the business, brandished a firearm at a clerk, and demanded money from the register. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Violent Crimes detectives identified a vehicle believed to have been involved in the robbery.
During the investigation, detectives learned of a similar armed robbery about 1:18 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in the 100 block of East Front Street in Farmersville.
Visalia and Farmersville detectives coordinated their investigations and determined the same suspect was believed to be responsible for both robberies, police said.
On Thursday, Visalia police arrested Jaime Martinez, 34, with assistance from the department’s Special Enforcement Unit and the Tulare Regional Auto Theft Task Force.
Martinez was arrested on an unrelated warrant and for his alleged involvement in the robberies.
