Clovis police arrested two people on outstanding warrants and cited 13 drivers for license violations during a DUI checkpoint on Shaw Avenue, the department said.

The checkpoint was held Friday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on westbound Shaw Avenue between Clovis and Minnewawa avenues.

Police said 1,107 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, with officers screening 553 of them.

No drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, and no vehicles were towed.

Two drivers were arrested for outstanding warrants, while officers recorded 13 driver’s license violations.

The checkpoint was funded through a California Office of Traffic Safety grant provided through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
