Former Tulare congressman Devin Nunes is blending his love of all things Portuguese, agriculture, and politics in Pismo Beach.
The longtime loyalist and attack dog for President Donald Trump has opened a tasting room for the Nunes Wine Company in the sun-drenched beach community at 880 Price Street.
His wines feature Portuguese and Bordeaux varietals grown in San Luis Obispo County. Among them are a Bordeaux style 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon titled Patriot Reserve. Many of his offerings come in bottles stamped with an American flag. And every bottle is embossed with “Devin Nunes” in large block letters.
SFGate reported that Nunes is with teaming up with longtime winemaker and personal friend Mike Sinor on the venture.
Truth Social Made Nunes a Millionaire Many Times Over
Despite his humble farming roots, Nunes displayed a love for the finer things in life while in Congress, favoring expensive cigars, fine wines, and courtside seats at major sporting events.
His wealth grew substantially after exiting Congress and becoming chief executive officer of Trump Media & Technology Group, a position in which he served from January 2022 to April 2026. According to published reports, Nunes made $47 million as Truth Social’s CEO in 2024 alone.
Recent social media posts suggest the tasting room is drawing large crowds, as Nunes greets and shares wine with friends from the San Joaquin Valley.
“Enjoying some great Nunes wine with Devin Nunes in Pismo Beach this afternoon!” wrote Eddie Lanfranco of Fresno on an Aug. 15 Facebook post.

Other social media reactions were negative.
“”NUNES wine company” in pismo beach? go figure…well, that’s one business you will NEVER find me supporting with my presence–for multiple reasons…ugh…hope he’s a better business owner than he was a congressman…aaiiyyyeee!,” posted Cathy Cory on Facebook.
The tasting room is the outgrowth of the Nunes online “patriots” wine business, which he began touting on social media in December 2024.
Nunes continue to keep his hand in politics as chair of President Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
