The son of Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert was arrested Sunday on a charge of sexual exploitation of a child and multiple other charges, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Tyler Boebert of New Castle was arrested on a warrant following an investigation by the sheriff’s office and a felony review by the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office identified one of the charges as sexual exploitation of a child under Colorado law but did not specify the other charges Tyler Boebert faces.
Bond was set at $10,000, and Boebert posted bond and was released from the Garfield County Jail the same day, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and that no additional information would be released at this time.
CBS News reported that Rep. Lauren Boebert said Monday the family takes the allegations “very seriously.”
