Two suspects remained at large Wednesday night after an adult was shot in Clovis, police said.
Clovis police responded around 8 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 300 block of West Ashcroft Avenue, near Peach Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue.
Police said the victim suffered a wound that was not considered life-threatening. Officers recovered the handgun used in the shooting, and police said the shooting suspect was known to the victim.
By 9:18 p.m., police said investigators were searching for two suspects in connection with the shooting.
The shooting suspect is wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, attempted carjacking and domestic violence, police said. A second suspect is wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Detectives were investigating the shooting, and the department’s Real-Time Information Center was assisting in efforts to locate the suspects.
Police asked people to avoid the area or expect delays during the investigation.
