A woman was arrested in Fresno Monday night after police said she violated a criminal protective order, threatened a teenager with a knife, and struck the teen with a metal pipe.
According to the Fresno Police Department, officers responded at about 8 p.m. Monday to a reported violation of a criminal protective order.
Police said Veronica Bejar went to the victim’s residence, entered the home, and barricaded herself inside a bedroom despite the restraining order.
While inside the residence, Bejar allegedly became involved in a physical altercation with a 16-year-old juvenile. Police said she threatened to stab the juvenile while holding a visible kitchen knife before retrieving a square metal pipe from the garage and striking the teen in the arm.
Officers removed Bejar from the residence and took her into custody without incident. Police said both victims positively identified her at the scene.
Bejar was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
