A 15-year-old was arrested Sunday after Visalia police said he chased multiple people with a knife while threatening to kill them.

Officers responded at about 4:14 a.m. to the 3300 block of South Dollner Street following reports of an intoxicated teenager armed with a knife.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect outside the residence. Police established a perimeter and attempted to contact him using a public address system, but he refused to comply with commands, according to the Visalia Police Department.

At about 6:29 a.m., officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody without further incident.

The juvenile was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, and resisting, delaying, or obstructing a peace officer, police said.
