A Farmersville man was found guilty Wednesday of multiple lewd acts against a child, along with other crimes, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
Jose Martinez-Delgadillo, 42, was convicted of seven counts of lewd acts on a child under 14, one count of lewd act on a child aged 14 or 15, one count of invasion of privacy, and one count of possession of child pornography.
The court also found true a special allegation of substantial sexual conduct.
Authorities said the crimes, which occurred between October 2013 and October 2021, involved a female victim who was between 9 and 15 years old at the time.
The court additionally found aggravating factors, including planning and sophistication, that the defendant targeted a vulnerable victim, and that he abused a position of trust or authority.
Nine of the counts are felonies, and seven are considered strike offenses under California law.
Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 19, and Martinez-Delgadillo faces more than 22 years in state prison. He also will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
